These testimonials offer a glimpse into life at Royal Holloway and how we support our students in achieving their goals:
Our students often speak about the wide-ranging support they have received, both academically and personally, throughout their time with us. Kushi, a recent MSc Clinical Psychology student, shares her thoughts on the course, the support she has received, and her experience as an international student with us:
"The professors are wonderful, the lectures are beautifully organised, and the teaching is amazing. We have access to labs and in-person classes. We have access to personal tutoring which is really very interactive for the teaching and learning process. And apart from that, I just love the environment here. I love the buildings here. Sports is something that I always look forward to. Being a sports person, I really feel the university has a lot of opportunities in terms of sports, in terms of joining communities, and it’s really a wonderful experience."
"When I was here, as any other student, I was really stressed in a way, because there are a lot of questions around what needs to be done, new things new people, but the university and the staff were really very helpful. We had a lot of orientation meetings at the beginning of the programme, which helped us settle at Royal Holloway, and in the UK itself."
"So my aspirations are to be a clinical psychologist, of course work with NHS, or in neuroscience, fields like that, and I believe the university has always pushed me. They pushed the rest of the students as well. We have placement modules, and currently I’m an assistant psychologist at the NHS, which is a wonderful experience. It’s something that you really get to learn from, you really get to learn from professionals in the field and this what I believe has helped me grow as a person, as a student, and as a professional in my field further as well. So it is absolutely lovely."
To students considering studying at Royal Holloway, Kushi says:
"I would say 'please come.' It is beautiful here, and I really believe that the university offers a lot of options, a lot of extracurricular activities, places where you get to meet catch up, meet different people, try different societies and clubs, and it is really very thrilling to be a part of Royal Holloway ‘cause I’m having fun so I think you should too."
